Hanne Marie le Fevre is a classically trained mezzo-soprano and performance artist. She performs both as a soloist and ensemble singer, with a particular focus on early music, contemporary music, and interdisciplinary performance. She trained at the Royal Academy of Music in Aarhus and pursued additional private studies in Paris, Berlin, and Basel.

In the field of early music, Hanne collaborates with Danish and European chamber ensembles and is a sought-after soloist for oratorio performances throughout Denmark. Her repertoire spans a broad range of sacred and Baroque works, and she regularly performs within historically informed performance practices.

Complementing her work in early music, Hanne’s engagement with contemporary music reflects her versatility and curiosity for new artistic forms. Her practice includes new compositions, improvisation, and performative approaches integrating voice and body, exploring the relationship between sound, presence, and physical expression.

As a choir and ensemble singer, Hanne holds a position in the world-renowned vocal ensemble Ars Nova Copenhagen, touring internationally. She sings in Ensemble Orion, the Danish Radio (DR) Concert Choir, performing regularly with the Danish National Symphony Orchestra, and with Vor Frue Cantori, whose services are broadcast daily on television and radio. Additionally, she works as an assisting singer with Theatre of Voices, Holmen's Church Cantori, and the DR Vocal Ensemble.

In 2024, Hanne was awarded the Pelle Prize by KLANG Festival and Edition Wilhelm Hansen in recognition of her contributions to contemporary music.

Beyond her musical work, Hanne is a certified body-oriented psychotherapist specialized in Omnitherapy. She has worked as a mentor in aftercare groups for survivors of domestic abuse, applying principles of existential psychology. She lives on a boat in Copenhagen with her partner and two sons.
